Ok, so I'm the very proud owner of a 2006 Cooper S Cabrio in Pure Silver and Black roof, it's great fun and fantastic kit, got xenons, Harman Kardon, full leather, chrome on the bars above the back seats, Bluetooth prepped, 17" Bullets and the Wind Diffuser, great condition overall (will post pics later)
Obviously the ride is quite harsh, which I don't particularly mind at all, except that it makes a fair bit of noise with the top up, nothing too horrible, but when I go through uneven ground the roof seems to squeak and rattle a bit, and there is a rattle that comes from inside the driver-side back plastic panel, could be the back window motor or the seatbelt, it doesn't sound a lot and it's not way at the back to be the Roof mechanism (thank God) but it is annoying and I would love to live without it...
Also, the front of the roof does make a bit of a rattle/squeak, it is very faint but I mean to ask if some lube of sorts would fix it...
I'm happy with the car, and I know the noise comes with the territory, both it being a Convertible and an S and the fact i live probably in the most horridly-paved country in the world (Mexico) and those things come as natural.
Loving the car, hope to be here in M2 for a long time, and at the moment (a week with the car) I can't see myself swapping it for anything other than an R56
JCW Cab, but WAYYY down the road since I'd have to buy it new probably (only 2 have been sold here so far) or a GP (none were sold here) so I'll be keeping it for a long time...
