Hi Paul

I was told that I could open the roof of my conv with the key.. but I have tried this and it doesnt work - do you think this is a fault with the key or am I being stupid?

The buttons of the key are programmed by the dealer to function. There are various options. It is probable that your dealer forgot to set it up probably. Some owners have been told that this feature is no longer programmed by default and have even attempted to chrge people for setting it up. I suggest you go to your dealer and ask them to "demonstrate" the feature -perhaps taking along MINI stuff that advertises it as a feature.

I really would love to see these videos again I remember you Paul stould outside your door with some friends, i think you had the Mini Cooper and was opening and clossing the roof I really liked it becouse with the vids you made, you could see the bars on eather side of the roof conect to the car and then the roof finishes closing

I can get mine to close putting key in door, But it wont open via the door and wont do anything on the keyfob by just pointing it at the car. IS THIS NORMAL or should it be able to open from the key.
