The launch of it was today at MINI Winnipeg. I went to check things out, and take some photos.


new headlamps look alot better in person

no rear fog for canada means you get this:

new 3 piece (instead of 5) dash

They just brought the same cars here to MINI Richmond for the official launch yesterday, PLUS - I got to see a MCS convertible in Hyper Blue after the party ended, I was hanging around and a transporter truck bought it in

The Cooper convertibles, I thought to myself "hmm, not bad looking, I wouldn't buy one though". But when that MCS Convertible popped up, with the Hyper Blue and 17" bullet wheels, my first thought was "OMG OMG OMG, I want one"

I was at the dealership the day after to pick up my Aux Input cable. I saw a Hyper blue MCS convertible. it looked absolutely stunning!

That Chrono pack is ALMOST a deal breaker for me!

I have a deposit on a Feb delivery (date my choice) The gauges look like something from a Tonka toy car!

They are so important, but the styling is so UN MINI, UN retro that I am growing to REALLY hate them

I have the nav in my S. It was great with the English accent. The reprogram was a Brooklyn accent I can live without. Plus, it has turned up more useless more often then not lately that I decided to pass this go around. It is a shame that I have to spend another 2 bills to overcome ugly styling...

And, since I'm on a roll, I notice a picture IN the rear window to the rear view mirror. There is all of about 12" of rear view space from the back all the way around to where the front of the C pillars would be on a hard top. I am going to have to sit in one actually, but that seems a tad tight to me
