Astro Black Photos Eventually

Hi,

I had the pleasure of collecting My MCC in Astro black yesterday, must admit I'm delighted with everything, especially the colour. The photos dont do it justice, it's a dark bluey metallic black.

The CD player plays MP3's, aircon works with the roof down, and the roof goes up pretty quickly in a downpour, which gave me the chance to try out the automatic wipers in the visibility kit, they work really well, slowing down when the window is clearer, and speeding up as more rain hots the window. No leaks or rattles all so far looks great!

Congratulations....very nice Car...seems that you´re the first to collect a Convertible in Astro Black with a working mp3 Boost

Can you try and make some more pictures where we can see the Dark Blue touch ?

Aiden, you are right, it's the new metallic black, and it has a dark blue hint, but only visible in some light conditions and difficult to photo

Car looks great - we've got an Astro Black Cooper Conv coming around the end of August and seeing the photos of yours makes us want it now!!

Anyway, a question that many have probably asked before so I'm sorry to ask again but, I presume you have the normal MINI CD player along with the boost that you have to have and that this CD will play MP3's??

Hope you don't mind being asked the same question for the 100th time!!

Michael,

Yes it is the normal boost player, it's a new model though, looks different to the one i had in my tin-top.

It allows you to store albums in seperate directories, and scroll through them in much the same way as a cd changer, works well, only shame is that it doesnt show trach or album names. But for no extra £££ it's a very good compromise.

Enjoy your car, i've had a great weekend in mine, had 4 adults in it in reasonable comfort for 2 hrs today!

Thanks for that - should be what we're having then as the car wasn't built last week when we changed our spec again and isn't due at the dealer until 20th Aug. Originally had a hot orange on order but went to see one at the dealers and didn't like it at all (sorry if anyone has one or one on order. It wasn't bold enough and we had to move fast to get the colour changed and black had been our reserve colour all along and now we've made that choice we can't wait!

Glad to hear that you've had 4 up (something we've only done once in our current convertible - 206CC) Kate & I really can't wait top be mini owners - along with our little Skoda Fabia Vrs (did you see Top Gear last night?) we think we've got two decent little mototrs!!

I must admit i'm not keen on the hot orange, and do think that the Astro black is the nicest colour I've seen, and that's without me being biased.

I missed top gear, hadnt realised that it had started again. What did I miss?

You missed the afore mentioned Skoda narrowly thrashing a poor lil MINI Cooper! Unsupprisingly the MINI Cooper cornered better, but the Skoda got a better standing start and seemed to have more power in the straights.

I wonder how it compares to an S?
