Chrome Roll-over bars

Are these standard on the Cooper S?

AFAIK all MINI Convertibles have chrome rollover hoops on the back seats.

My MCSC has them.

In the brochure it says it's part of the external chrome pack... Also there's a pic of a convertible with black roll-over bars...

I only have chrome line interior, not exterior (one can have too much chrome), and as I said mine has the chrome hoops. I've never seen a picture of one without them. Best check with your dealer, just to make sure...

I think that both the MCC and MCSC come as standard with the chrome roll bars but you have to specify the chrome pack on the MOC or they come without the chrome hoops (and as most MOC's come with chrome you don't see many of them without)

Personally I do not want all that chrome on the outside but am in 2 minds about whether not having the chrome hoops will make them look less obtrusive - if anyone has got a pic of one without I would appreciate seeing it to finally make up my mind.

u got the thick convertible brochure? It's in there near the back

My boyfriend tells me he saw a Mini Cooper Convertible this afternoon with black hoops.. argh! He said it definately had the Cooper logo on the back. Maybe they are only a One and they stuck the Cooper badge on their themselves.. Definately a call to my dealer is in order. I need chrome hoops!

My dealer mentioned that it should have chrome hoops (MCSC that is)... but I don't trust them

Chrome rollover hoops are only standard on the MCS.
It does not state this in any of the general public brochures and my dealer had to dig out an internal MINI brochure on the convertible to clarify this.

MOC and MCC get black roll hoops as standard..... become chrome with exterior chrome pack....

MCSC gets them as standard...........

Bearing in mind that I am getting the aero kit fitted to mine - has anyone got any suggestions as to how I get the chrome hoops as I do not want to buy the whole chrome pack just for that (I prefer the black boot lid handle and all the other bits in the kit will be made redundant by fitting the aero kit to the car)??

The chrome hoops are just plastic covers..... You may be able to order them as parts afterwards and fit them yourself.... Thus eliminating the need for the full chrome pack...

Don't hold me to this, best to check with your dealer!

Chrome Line Exterior is part of either the Chili Pack or the Pepper Pack on a Cooper or just the Pepper Pack on a One, so unless ur gonna go for billy boggo basic car with no pack ur gonna get chrome rollover hoops, but i can see where ur comin from about the chrome, our MOC and MCC demos at work both have bodykits and Pepper Packs and Chili Packs respectivley, but i think it would look the shizz nizz with bodykits and "dechromed" rollover hoops, leaving only chrome door handles, headlight rings and the chrome line running around the car

The Cooper Convertible will have black roll hoops unless you get the chrome Exterior package.

The Cooper S has the chrome hoops as a standard feature.
