Southwest US Dealership??? - MINI Cooper Forum

I am located in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm on the waiting list for the Cooper S. I have been waiting a year to get my hands on a Mini Cooper S, and I cannot wait anymore. I am desperate. If anyone could give the name of a dealership in CA, NV, or anywhere Southwest that has the Cooper S' available NOW that would be great. Thanks for your help.

Start calling.

If you're as desperate as you sound, you may be able to relieve a dealer of one of his demo models. They only keep them a certain number of miles. But if you're on the North Scottsdale dealer's list, I doubt you can improve your position much by switching to a CA or NV dealer.

Then there are the scalpers. Don't go there, unless you've got $$$ to burn.

But I don't plan on changing my position. I was going to get my $1000 waiting-list deposit back and try to get a S now. I think I will start e-mailing and calling. I just don't want to end up on another waiting list. Talk about frustrating. Never knowing when you are going to get your mini. Scary!

Brecht MINI has several. Problem is they require a $3500 dealer package AND they charge $2000 over MSRP. But they have a red\white and a ds\white on the lot. I am flying out to Phoenix to pick up mine friday. Finally

I haven't even seen any minis at the Scottsdale Dealership. Congratulations on getting yours!!!

What spot were you on their waiting list? Everyday I wish that they would call me.

Try Desert MINI in Vegas. I just got my deposit back from them, since I also was on the North Scottsdale list. My production date for my S from N Scotts is 7/12.......
Oh yeah, be ready to pay $3000 more in NV than in AZ..... for the same car. "Mandatory Dealer Options"

P.S. - You won't see any MINIs at Scottsdale if you only drive by. They keep them upstairs in the inside parking lot, nice and cool, nice and clean. Inside it's a pretty amazing place. They claim it is (square footage) the largest BMW and largest MINI showrooms IN THE WORLD........

I live in Mesa, AZ -- and recently picked up my silver S from Desert Mini in Vegas. I was on the list for a long time at scottsdale (formerly camelback) bmw/mini... They're list is insane there. If you really want one, call Jamie at Desert mini -- at 702-493-5503 (that's his company cell phone, so call at a reasonable hour) and he'll hook you up. He was VERY helpful in getting me my MINI.
