Subwoofer In your S? How are we to do this?

Gots a couple of questions on my mind. I'll wait for a ski rack to be developed, but I am not sure how long I can go without thump in my trunk.

I would like to somehow fit my 12" MTX sub and Infiniti Beta amp behind the rear seats in what might be called the MINI's boot. Is this possible? Don't have the car yet (August presumably), so I have only doubts.

Anyone have experience with this? Anyone have the exact dimensions of the space behind the seats?

I have a 10" mtx 7000 woofer in the hatch with a 425 watt mtx amp. I tried to fit the 12 but it just didnt go. The 10" pounds in that little car like no other. People dont beleive me when i tell themi have 1 10" in the back.Maybe you can build a custom box for the 12 to make it fit.

I am planning on putting in one of those Bass Tubes. I thought those would be compact enough for my mini. But my boyfriend has other ideas. He wants me to get a black fiberglass box made for 10's. But then I would have no boot space. Too many decisions.

A mini may just be the only car that one of those tubes make a difference in. But I would difinitely opt for a ten.

Look under interior and ICE and look at the custom stereo for Cooper S and you can read all about what I did to my S. I have a 12" Kicker sub in the back of mine.
