USA JCW Factory Tuning Kit

Does it come with the JCW AirBox?

Miniusa.com does not say anything about the airbox being part of the factory installed kit

Thanks

yes, I'm looking into buying one (05') and it has the airbox.

06' JCW Kit includes:

Supercharger
Cylinder Head
Air Filter (with box)
Exhaust
Spark Plugs
ECU
Badges

All for $6,300 I guess...there is also Rims, Brakes, Suspension, and other JCW stuff not included. PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong!

-Cody PS. Everything taken from Miniusa

"Gizmo" - 03' IB/B MCS!

The $6,300 JCW Package includes the Engine Tuning Kit, Brake Kit and LSD, but you have to spend at least another $1,400 on the Sport Package to order the JCW Package

Yeah, what's up with that? What is in the Sport pkg that the JCW kit needs? Or is it just price gouging?

It's price gouging

MINI USA should offer the JCW Package stand-alone with an extra charge for choice of wheels:
Code:

$    0 for 16" R94 Bridge-spoke
$  600 for 17" R85 S-lite
$  600 for 17" R91 5-spoke Bullet (convertible only)
$1,100 for 17" R98 Web-spoke

Question JCW parts

Is it possible to get the JCW in parts?

I have a K&N induction kit + nology cables + new spark plugs ...

I want:
Supercharger
Cylinder Head
ECU

Is it really important to change the Cooper S exhaust? (I have the sports package).

Best regards!!

Memo

The JCW Engine Tuning Kit comes as a complete package.

Since you've started down the "aftermarket road", I recommend having a 15% reduction supercharger pulley fitted and an ECU remap (eg. MTH). You can go with an aftermarket exhaust or just "one-ball" your stock exhaust.

What do you mean with "one-ball"?, (i didnt get it)

Is the MCS stock exhaust not appropiate for the upgrade?

Regards,

Memo

My apologies for not posting this in my previous post ...

The "One-Ball" exhaust is simply the result of removing the right-side resonator and installing an exhaust reroute pipe. Gt Tuning offers a nice looking reroute pipe put any competent muffler shop should be able to do this transformation.

Choosing an aftermarket muffler is mostly about sound and not performance. The "One-Ball" is the least expensive way to get a little more sound

A reduction supercharger pulley is "biggest bang for the buck" performance mod

I would say that adding an exhaust will help a bunch. The better air flow you get the better the horsepower...
