Should i or Shouldn't i??

Opinions needed please......

I have a 06 checkmate MCS, i thinking of getting the JCW brakes fitted. My dealer has said they can do it with 3 days notice and will charge me £820 fully fitted.

My insurers on the other hand (mini) didn't know what these were, i said official part, part number etc, they still had no clue! So i stated individually what the kit consists off and they want £110 more for the next 6 months.

What do you guys think shall i or shouldn't i??

I must add i do allot of punishing town driving in the week and along motorway journey at the weekend.

Chris

Thats disgraceful. Its a safety feature! You should get a flippin discount!

Maybe i should inform my insurance company whenever i replace my worn pads with new ones so they can stiff me an extra £100 for the pleasure of having improved braking.

That was my point, aproved part and better braking. They said oh if you crash your car you would want them replaced wouldn't you!

Do they really wear that fast?

Maybe if you put some really crappy drum brakes on that were held together with spit and twigs instead they'd lower your premium?

I think you're more likely to get a reply if you change the thread title so people who already have JCW brakes are more likely to click on it.

Just call it:

"JCW BRAKES! ANY GOOD?"

or something.......
