Difficult choice between those three ! But if you have a budget of 12-13k I would keep to your budget, get the Works for 12k, then take it to GTT and let Roland work his magic with the extra 1k. That would give you a great ride for 13k !!!!!!
i don't see the point in getting a jcw and then tuning it. why not go standard mcs and spend a grand on it getting the power up. I'd go as new and as lower mileage as you can. Don't get suckered into paying over the tops for additional extras. I think you will do better than those listed

Are a few examples of whats around. Try Autotrader and best of luck
in that case I would choose the JCW, as if your budget is set at 12-13k then its within budget, all of it is covered by warranty and you are on the ladder of ownership, meaning a dealer will happily buy it off you as a trade in for your next future MINI
If you weren't on a tight budget I might have considered the BBR, but you need to keep something in the bank in case you need work done on the conversion, which is something I think you should avoid if the budget is so tight
I belive so, standard 2002 with works. It does however have the JCW Seats and brakes as well, from the photos i've seen it does look stunning. (the owner is also on this forum :P )
I would go for the JCW, if only because it's hard to trust other mods if you didn't carry them out yourself. There are plenty of posts on here about people getting burnt with mods!
Hi, IMO, how do you know the Works MINI hasn't had a hard life?
I'd be very careful about a car which is 4 years old & may have had a thrashing for the greater part of its life!!
Wouldn't the 2004 still have some BMW warranty ? (good insurance if you find anything wrong with the vehicle).
Also surely you can get the price down a little on any of the 3. ( remember you have the advantage in being the buyer).
Good luck with what ever decision you make
It's not made of crystal it's made to be thrashed!!! Piston rings by their very design can't work properlly unless you're giving it some - don't be a girl, spank it!
As long as it's been looked after and servised properly (oil changes and belts being the most important!) it'll be fine.
Its had 1 owner from new and used as a weekend car, it's certainly done some track time im sure. I think I'll scrubb the blue one off the list, its really too much ££. I'll have to check out the white and grey.
