Maybe buying this soon

Chilli pack 04 plate 15k miles, £14,000 to replace my 54 plate ST170 Focus. Insurance is cheaper, happy with the whole car, but am taking one for a day test drive to make sure next saturday. I will be sacrificing climate control, heated front screen and SPACE, I think the ST is much more confortable, but the interior off the Mini is very good.

Anyway bring on Saturday, unless you guys can convince me to bite the bullet and buy it before then.

What if it's already sold by Saturday? Quite possible since it's on the Cherished website!

dealer is calling on monday I am going to ask if he will hold it until then, whats my chances. We have already discussed finance etc I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing before I trade in my ST which I cannot fault other than insurance being high and depreciating rapidly. Plus its luton and full of skint pikies.

Slim I'd say...

Lets be honest - if someone comes along on Thursday next week and offers him £14k in cash, he's unlikely to say, "well I've actually got a guy who's supposed to be coming back on Saturday, so I can't sell you that one!" is he?

Without a deposit, all you can really do is keep your fingers crossed. Actually, what am I saying? I think you should get down there tomorrow and buy it, no messing... it's much nicer than any Focus!

They are not open today, so when he calls tomorrow, I am going to say I want it. Its cheaper than the ST on monthly HP by 30 quid, I get a 60 odd rebate from my insurance as well. Plus my tax is due up end of this week on the focus too, so i want to swap by then.

Any one know how long it will take etc if I give the go ahead tomorrow?

Nice car. My MINI dealer took a 100 pound refundable deposit to hold mine for a week or so.

The space thing has not been an issue for me and I downsized from a large saloon to my MINI.
