Same for Cool Blue and Orange on the cabriolet - restricted colours.

The Mini One Seven, Park lane, Cooper S Checkmate are also Special Editions - not limited - with special colours.

And then there are all the international market colour and trim variations......

The only other named model was the MCS40 for the American market - but Im not sure if it was a special or limited edition - maybe someone can clarify this. There was a massive demand for this car in the UK but Mini did not produce it for the other markets.

Are all three of the new colours available across the range now? I know they are in the states, but I didn't think you could get, for example, a Solar Red MCS in the UK?

well I sure hope so. yes I love the GP and cant wait. but it was above my budget and the fact that it was a real limited edition made the decision a lot easier. originaly it was going to be a second hand s works for me.

we will see..I hope this is all bs.

From the end of April, Solar red is not available at all in USA!
It was only available from September, and only on the MC - must be the rarest of all MINI colors over here

(I would love to know how many spare bodykits will be on stock.....)

Saying that I dont think it will be too long before the aftermarket guys start cloning GP parts. The transfer kits are already available.......

i think the black part of the rearbumper looks great on my PW coopers, chassisnumber is no problem, anyone knows the partnumbers?

The black part on the rear bumper is the same as on the std car.
The rear bumper only has the additional silver inserts that are different to std.

Parts will not be on the system until July 24th according to my contacts.

Hein, Where did you get a GP chassis number from?

Remember the williams clios!! limited edtion...then series two and three!

I hear that BMWMINI have been canceling orders for GPs if they find out you have bought one just to sell your place on the list , IE listing your order for sale on ebay etc.

I have been made aware of 4 instances! im not sure if they tell the purchaser or not??

As for the Williams was each edition not slightly different to the previous one so they could get around the Legal stuff?

Mini Cancelled orders, Yup, they tell the purchaser and refund them their deposit.
Apparently they got the two e-bay cars and the ones that have been popping up in the national press.

It was all in the T&C of purchase, on all the advisory paperwork and e-mails - straightforward breach of contract. You would think people would have learnt by now....

I saw the gp in geneva this spring and het black part is lower then standard because the exhaust is now fully in the black part.

my dealership has sold 2 gp's so the also have 2 chassisnumbers

Thats poses an interesting point. If you get a chassis number can you just order GP parts or will you need any further proof of ownership?

Anybody have any idea of the volume of specific parts they will keep on stock?
(Eg, if someone were to run up the backend of one how easy would it be to get assemblies like the rear bumper, spoiler, skirts etc..?)

Hein, love that second photo - especially where they have covered up the car numbers for transport.
