Scotland A Really Stupid Question

Hello.
This is stupid and a wee bit embarassing.
Please please please dont think any less of me for having to ask this question.

When I bought the little mini a few weeks ago it was a bit of a rush job, going from having no real intention of buying a new car, to 3 days later having one sitting on my drive.
Me and the missus were at the mini show in alford at the weekend, we were looking at a few different mini`s and the wife was reading the spec for one, and she said "Look, this one has a chilli pack, the same as ours".

I`ve checked the paperwork and theres no mention of it been a chilli, I don`t remember the sales lady saying it had the chilli pack fitted.

Help, is it a chilli ? how can I tell ?

Hey
Congrats on your purchase. You have joined the Elite Group

In order to tell if you have the Chilli pack, you would need to provide some internal photos. From what I recall (*and it has been a while) the pack adds some internal cosmetic additions rather than extrernal.

Pretty sure others will be a lot more helpeful

have fun

If you go to www.mini.co.uk and choose the option to design your mini when you get to the optional equipment section it will show you what the options are in the Chilli pack.

You could compare what is listed with whats on yours.

Congrats on the new MINI by the way - have fun

Do you have a Cooper or Cooper S?
On the Cooper you may have Kaleido cloth/leather upholstery, 3 spoke steering wheel, leather gearknob, sports seats, sports suspension 16" five star alloys, roof spoiler.

On the Cooper S
As Cooper plus manual air conditioning Xenon headlights 17" five star wheels.
You should also get stuff included on Salt and Pepper packs. eg On board computer, interior light package, fog lamps, a mesh on the back of the seats.

OK, heres another thought....

Toasters are cheap...
Smoke alarms are cheap....

Why dont toasters come with built in smoke detectors, so they can turn themselves off...?????

Runs off to patent the idea....

Congratulations on your new purchase, looks smart. Hope you have many happy journeys in her.

Best check that she's listed as a COOPER CHILI with your insurance company though. Get those extras covered.

Hi,

I bought a 53 MCS on Saturday, it has a chilli pack - should I have had Xenons included?

Not really an easy question to answer. I had an MCS that looked exactly like a Chilli model but wasnt. The only way I found out was to ask the dealers that have access to the full spec of your car. Mine was a standard MCS with all the extra's added to make it a Chilli (Weird I know!).
