Sunroof:

I have had 2 minis now, my current MCS and previously a MCSC. The convertible obviously didn't need the sunroof! but I've loved it in the hardtop, bring so much more light into the car even if you don't have it open all the time. As I rememeber its about a £600 option if you buy it new? I'd definately go for it if I was buying a new Mini, but bear in mind if you want roof graphics it is much harder to do, but I think some people have managed it?

Satnav:
Never had a car with it before my current car. I love it but I don't think I would spec if as an option if I was buying new, too much £ for use for me. It doesn't do postcode search (new ones will do the first 4 letters but not full postcode) which I would find really useful, I am also unsure how good the routes really are. For a lot less you could get a TOMTOM but this needs to be removed or at least hidden when you park the car which can be a pain. If you want the built in Satnav I'd definately go to a local dealer for a play.

Just my opinon but I'd go for the sunroof and aftermarket for the Satnav. Hope thats some help!

That's a subjective...

question to which I subjectively say..."yes the sunroof is worth the extra money". As for the sat nav I believe a good map is all you need. Finding your way isn't rocket
science yet a sat nav system was at least partially developed from the defense industries need give a rocket, sans brain, the ability to go where they desired...precisely. Since I can tell when I'm at my destination I don't need a costly sat nav system.

Hi There

I've had a MC without and now my MCS with a sunroof. I have auto aircon too and personally i wouldn't do without the roof now, makes being in the back a better experience as lighter, and i generally like having it.

With the Sat Nav i was considering it then decided that a tom tom would surfice and atleast that way i could pop it between cars if needs be.

Hi,

Would definitely agree, have the sunroof in my current JCW 'S' and awaiting delivery of my new JCW 'S' again with sunroof. Have driven a couple of MCs without the sunroof and they seemed too Claustrophobic for my tastes, soo much lighter, wouldn't be without it.

Did consider Sat nav on the new one but went for a portable with speed camera detectors, also portable and can transfer it between cars.

hi there, ive only recently picked up my car with both of these options. i must confess, even tho the sat nav is very expensive and confusing at first i find it very helpful now, especially travelling around london. plus having the satnav built in doesnt require taking the nav out of the car etc etc. which i would have found incredibly annoying. the nav does lack in postcode search which would cut time in looking for an address, but i havent had any trouble with finding where im going so far, and think its worth the extra dosh.

sunroof, i think is a must have, especially for cruising around in the summer. the sunroof is pretty big, so lets in plenty of light, i love it.

if u have any more question feel free to pm! but im still new to the mini experience
