Red face Lowering an S thats still in Warranty

Afternoon lovely people

I've got a 2004 '53 reg MCS and I was looking at dropping it by about 30mm maximum..

Thing is, I can't really afford the JCW lowering kit, and was going to buy some springs elsewhere..

Now, has anyone else done this, and has it affected anything with there warranty, as I don't want to invalidate it.

Thanks in advance

I would think that your dealer may have issues with anything to do with the suspension going wrong but some dealers are mod friendly. Might be worth having a word with them.

It was acceptable in the 80's

BMW central may still not like you having springs on even if the dealer is OK with it. Likelyhood is BMW will never know but sometimes they do find out. TBH the chances of your springs knackering anything on your car is slim, especially now its not brand new so faults will have already shown up in the majority of cases. I would do it and run the small risk...There are many many folks running eibach, alta and KW springs all around the 25-35mm mark and they have no issues on stock rimmed cars.

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!
