I tried searching the galleries with that mpv thing and got nowhere (I love the site, it's still my favorite, and all of the changes have been great with the exception of the galleries--it used to be so easy to find exactly what you were after, now it's virtually impossible, not to mention much more complicated. After an attempted gallery search, I stick a hot spear through my head, it hurts less than the search and gets my mind off of it).

Currently I have a dark silver union jack on my roof, and I love it, but I might go for a change this year.

The MINI2 Galleries are way better than the old personal galleries

The problem is that people either don't upload images to them or don't use meaningful titles on the images they do upload.

An Advanced Members Search lists 5 people with Dark Silver MINIs with a Checkered (Black + White) Roof, but none of them have uploaded images to the MINI2 Galleries.

BTW ... you have not completed your MINI Profile nor created albums for a MPV

But that's the problem--it takes a fair amount of work to do that mpv thing, both setting it up, and trying to search with it--it's been several months since it was put into place, and it's just too much work for most people here, and I don't think it's really taken off. The searches aren't all that easy even if you know how to use it--it was much easier when things were linked the way they were before. I'm not knocking you--you've put a ton of work into it, but I think it's too complicated--stripping it down the way it was before worked relatively well (it wasn't perfect, but there were a ton of pictures that have been lost in the switch, which is really a shame).

Eventually I'll set my gallery up when I have more pictures in it, but again, labelling everything again considering it's already in my profile is overkill. I know the reasons why the galleries were switched, and while they were legitimate ones, in practice it worked better when it was less complicated.

There are plans to incorporate the MPV search into the Advanced Members Search. This will make it easy to use, but without appropriate image titles you can't really do a search for specific images.

You can use the Advanced Members Search to obtain a list of users who have a gallery and a MINI with a particular specification, but there's no guarantee that the gallery will contain an image for the specification. Hence the need for setting up a MPV with appropriately titled images.
