Personally, it always annoys me when badges aren't put back on properly after repair work - shows a lack of attention to detail If it was my MINI I'd keep seeing the badge and thinking it wasn't right

It will affect the resale value as that is, to the trained eye, a clear indication of "something going on" at the rear of the car. There is no excuse by a bodyshop for putting it in the wrong place. Take it back and get them to do it again with a new badge. Or you can remove it yourself by using dental floss behind it - but you will need a new badge as you are right about the adhesive not retaining its strength. Good luck. Tim

Id take it back mate and get the dealer to apply a new one, I mean you payed for it to be repaired back to factory standard so why accept anything less, alternativly just take it off and de-badge the car! ...Adam
