find that the air con temp, coldest setting is not that cold, dealer says it fine, had o6 mcs on loan and that was not that cold either, compared to my other car ( merc ) think that the mcs just aint cool enough.

I haven't had my mini for that long so I havent used the air con in the middle of the summer yet, but I have been using it recently and have had it set near to the coldest setting and thats been a comfortable temperature, not as cold as I would expect considering its not been that hot. I am one of those people that never feel cold so I thought that maybe it was just me that it wasnt as cold as I might have expected considering it could only go a bit cooler, but maybe this isnt actually the case.

I don't think the air con in m r56s gets very cold. It has not been very hot and takes a fair while to cool the car down. I am still amazed at what an expensive option it always is! (in all cars!)

The best aircon for sheer blast of cold air that i experienced was in an s reg hyundai getz!! (wierd I know, probably designed for hotter climates than ours!)

my step mom use to have a cooper and the air con was very good and cold. my dad has just had his air con in his merc re-gassed about £100-£150 it is well worth it you could try that the air con is really cold again now

the aircon in alomst every car needs recharging every 2 years. and costs about £70 plus.

I've just had my 2002 MCS re-gassed at Kwik-Fit. It costs £45, well worth it if your air-con isn't getting as cold as it should.

Remember, you should use your air-con all through the year to keep the system lubricated.
