R56 " Mark 2" brakes on a R53 model

Is it possible to fit the New Cooper S front brakes to a R53 Cooper S 2003 year?

They look almost identical to the JCW brakes but in silver.I believe people have fitted the pads from these to JCW brakes, perfect fit at half the price. Also I know that the New drilled and slotted discs from the R56 fit on the previous model JCW cars .

I have compared the part numbers and they are different except for the piston repair kit and a couple of fixing bolts.

Has anyone tried this yet ?

I have been reliably informed that the R56 brakes are, in fact, the old JCW brakes without the flash paint job! Theoretically, they ought to fit. Never tried it though!

checked on real oem and the part numbers for front discs on the Gp and the R56 cooper S are the same, pics look identical. personal i reckon 4-pots would be a better investment for the money you would need to spend on the r56 calipers
