| Seems like a good deal Alex, go on, you know it makes sense ![]() Extra cost on insurance & fuel , but it'll be worth it for the Supercharger whine and exhaust popping. Give me a shout when you've got it & I'll definately come down for a beer/chat with you & John. Go for it mate |

| It sounds like a fair price, but it depends where you are buying it from. Is it a MINI dealer, an independant or private? What do you know of the history of the car? What sort of warranty are you being offered. The 15% pulley would make me nervous though. Nothing wrong with a 15% pulley in itself, but I'd need to know who's done it and I'd want to know more about the previous owner. £13,500 is not a high price for that age of MCS, but it's still a lot of cash for any used car, particularly a modded one and I'd want to know EVERYTHING about the car and all its previous history before parting with that kind of money. | Im buying the car privately, i know the guy well as i work with him. As for the pulley, i have no idea who fitted it! Also as its 2005 the warrenty is due to run out in a year or so, is it posible to purchase an extended warrenty? The car doesnt get driven, hence the milage, i also know that the car is constantly cleaned inside and out. I just thought as its quite a high spec, i should take the oportunity to change my car.....an excuse to get the model of Mini i really want!!! ![]() ![]() Im definatley up for meetign up for a pint Hartge 210, just give us a shout when you have got some free time. thanks for your replys Alex |

| As far as warranty is concerned, go to Warranty Direct: Warranty Direct :: The UK's leading direct personal warranty supplier. Providing used car warranties, new car warranties, and household protection for your TV, washing machine and other products. Much cheaper than MINI's own policy and with better cover (it includes wear and tear). Register your interest long before you need it and watch their original quote come down as you aren't in a hurry to take the policy out! ![]() Tigger. ![]() May '04 - Feb '07 R50, Feb '07 - May '10 R53. | That sounds like a good deal for all the extras and its a good safe colour to have. Its not done too much milage either and if its got tlc, it will have been serviced at 10,000 miles. Your car will have been bought I think for about £19000 new, So its had a heavy fall for 13,000 miles. I bought a 2005 August MCS in Red, Chilli Pack, heated seats, function steering, 6 cd, Sunroof, half leather though with 13500 miles for £12,250 from a private sale. I was extremely lucky though, right time right place. I think it was a little cheaper because she registered it in August (05 plate) had she waited 3 more weeks it would have been a 55 plate. But your deal looks like a good one, and if its the one you want go for it, but be picky there are plenty out there. |

| Thats a very good deal in my eyes... I Paid £13500 for my Black MCS its an May 04 plate with 19K on the clock but i got it from a main dealer so hence the price is a bit higher. Your spec is a bit higher than mine aswell but ive got it now, i no if i shopped around for a private sale i would have a much higher spec. And mine also has silver vipers as you can see on my sig, Cheers Tigger for that link, is it really worth the money for an aftermarket warrenty??? i had problems with an aftermarket company on my Cooper which i traded in bascially th would not pay out for a claim. A dealer extended warrenty is £600 for 12 months. Scott |

| thanks guys, i think i will go for it, I just have to sell my car now! . Im lucky in that respect as the person who im buying it from knows i have to sell my car and said he is in no rush, so as and when i have sold my car then i can buy his and he wont sell it to anyone else!Im not to keen on his next choice of car though, this is his 2nd MCS and he is selling it to me to get a new Civic Type R, but naturally i will say "ahhh im jelouse, i really like that car", so that he doesnt decide to keep the MCS which with that supercharger pulley will be faster! ![]() ![]() Alex |

| Seems a good price. I paid less than that for 04 MCS with higher milage BUT v high spec. I had the single owner, single dealer history too. BUT it was the test drive, that convinced me this was the MCS for me. Regardless of price, get round to your local dealers and take out their forcourt stock for a run. Compare and feel happy. |
