Do you have a Cooper??

EDIT - Duh, we're in the S forum!!!

Erm, my old Cooper used to do this, could be because the engine is cold, the fuel is poor quality or something else... sorry not too much help

This is the dreaded yo yo. Do a search there is a 5000 threads on it. My S does it but only when cold. After a couple of gear changes it stops.

I wouldn't worry about it too much if it only does it when cold.

It was acceptable in the 80's

My S does it when cold to, i change gear about 2.5k and it feels like its pulling back when your on light throttle. Its only for a split second and only for the first few gear changes when cold. It dosnt bother me as I know its not a serious problem and I dont often have to deal with it, 2-3 minutes everymorning.

when your used to it it wont bother you one slightest. I also don't think it's anywhere near as bad as some people seem to make out, well mine isn't
