Picked up my DS/B S on monday morning and it is just simply amazing!
All the niggling little worries are now in the dim and distant past. Racked up about 200 miles in it.
The performance through the gears is excellent compared to that of my Cooper. I find that you don't have to "rag" the car at all to get shifting on a nice country road. 3rd gear doing about 40 round a tight little bend come onto the straight, boot it and it just flies off and then when 4.5K shows slip her in 4th and the little baby just keeps on pulling. whereas in my Cooper I would have been reaching for second and taking it to the red line region to get moving.
I don't know if this is the right way of putting this but I find the Cooper to be a more involving drive as you are really working through the gear box and revving the ******** off it 24/7 whereas in the S I find it almost too effortless!!!

I completely agree with u. It is soooo effortless to get goin. Because of the run-in period I feel like im in 4th - 5th gear in seconds.


Do you find the biteing point on the clutch to be instantanious??

Yes....it is so easy. Just touch the accelerator and your away without hardly lifting your foot at all.
