| Prior to my MCS I had a chipped Mk4 GTI 1.8T. It felt quicker than my MINI, even though it wasn't. The spool up and power delivery from the turbo is completely different to the linear power delivery of the supercharged 1.6 engine of the MINI. My wife now has a Mk5 GTI and, again, it feels quicker. But with the mods my MCS now has (the usual 15% pulley, CAI, cat-back zorst) in a straight line drag, the times would be close to identical. So, even though a 225bhp TT would still be quicker than a stock MCS, the difference probably isn't as great as it feels. I bet the MINI rewards you more and feels more connected and precise than your TT ever did. ![]() |
