MINI one &coopers wearing S parts flattery or not.!!!

Its become apparent that alot of one and cooper owners are attaching S parts to there cars,I would say this is the biggest form of flattery we as S owners can have.

ie if something is THAT good its worth copying.

But guys what are your feelings on it especially from those that own a cooper S.

Doesn't bug me to see a Cooper or a One kitted out with S parts. I'd like to fit a chrome Cooper grill on my S. Whatever makes you happy.

Someone adapted a black aero-kit honeycomb grill to fit the non-areo-kit standard S front bumper. The real trick was fitting the small, single louvre lower grill. So if he managed that, maybe I can change out my grill for a Cooper's. Whether I bother or not is another story.

What you you think? You say it's "the ultimate form of flattery", then your tag line at the bottom says "buy the car, not the parts".

Personally, I could completely understand go-faster modifications, but usually body kits as such don't actually look better to me. So if they want to grab OEM components off a higher car, instead of garish aftermarket stuff, why not?

P.S. I can understand why a One would want Cooper parts, but why would a Cooper want S parts? I think the MINI nomenclature should have been:

One - Black plastic parts.
Cooper - Body coloured parts.
Cooper S - Chrome parts.

Oh well.

The only thing that would bother me is if they put the "S" badge/logo on. Then I would be p*ssed.

IMO, each model is good enough to stay honest to their own badging.......but, I can understand why so many people prefer the chrome front of the Cooper, thats OK by me, as long as the badges stay on.....

I've got the S side skirts and the chrome S cap (minus the Chrome bit for now )

I only have these because they look better than the Cooper parts not because I want to liken my car to an S or in any way suggest it is an S.

Same here, Ive got the above too aswell as S Alu foot rest & chrome interior door handles too Still got the ONE badge on the boot

It doesn't really bother me at all if others want to make their MINI look like a "S", all that really matters is that I'm ahead when the metal on the floor! .

Dinger, didnt you have the S chrome side grilles on your Cooper
The same sort of thing happens with the classis Mini's, people trying to make a City look like a Cooper etc etc
