While waxing the area aroung the sidemarkers, I looked real close and saw that the RED part of the S is just a red decal. One corner was lifted slightly. Really tought it would be baked on paint.
On second thought. This makes it easy to change. Should a RED/White S have a white S? Should a DS/BLK have a black S? Oh, the possiblities.
It makes sense! Although they do have paints with the same reflective "metallic" quality! It could easily be customized with any particular kinds of paints!
Yeah I agree that this is just too cheap. BMW should really have a handle on this kind of thing by now. I saw a beautiful BRG Cooper S today, "52" reg, and the side decal had lifted at the corner. This is disgraceful and although it's only minor, I'd be really annoyed if it happened to me.
