Hopefully Collecting it before 1.

Yea, went for the dark silver one in the end. The other one was sold the day I went to look at it. I had a good look over the other one and it's, in fairness, in excellent condition with full service history and almost every receipt, too.

DS was the colour of my first S - great choice

What colour of roof has it got?

EDIT: Sorry, just looked at the link above, I gather it's that one. Durrrr!

White roof, exact combo I was looking for. Has the panoramic sunroof too, but no Chilli Pack which I would've liked, but beggars can't be choosers

Well, I got it. My Cooper S jinx must be finished. Chuffed to bits with it, feels quicker than my previous car (Corsa OPC/VXR). Will get some pics when I get home and post them.

Dreading going home too, my parents were dead set against me going for it. The joys of still living at home :x

I'm sure they'll soften when they see how pleased you are with it - plus just take your dad out for a drive, that'll sort him

Ha, true!

Anyway, first impressions as I said are great. Car feels very responsive low down, plenty of torque and easy acceleration. Steering is slightly heavy in traffic, but overall feels very good. Ride is fine, I prefer a harnder ride but the Mini doesn't feel overly hard at all, possibly down to the 16" wheels and non run-flat tyres.

I'll probably think of more to add later, but thats all for now.

Yes I'd be in no doubt 16s and non RFs are to blame for that You could always harden things up by adding 18s, RFs and Eibachs...

Have you got any plans to mod it?

I wouldn't mind a set of S-Lines tbh, but the wheels that are on it are growing on me. I was planning on a reduced pully amongst other things, but I've a feeling it could already have the reduced pulley.
