Will you get a MINI when the Megane falls apart next year?

Seriously though, hope you enjoy the new motor, and it proves the reputation wrong to provide you with miles of happy motoring......

Until you get bored and want another MINI, of course.

One of those new style Meganes? "Is that your car?" they are quite tasty. Good luck and wish you luck with your new purchase. Sorry to hear about your MINI.

Very interesting - I was thinking of doing exactly the same thing although not because (touch wood) that anything is wrong with my MINI....

Will be interesting to hear howw you get on with it....

You can get quite alot of car for not very much money in the megane - think when I was looking a few weeks back that you could get the 230F1 for about £8k ! ! The only reason I didnt get one is that with the new model coming out very soon that the value of the older version will drop so I decided to wait... I didnt want to happen with that car the same as happened with my mini - bought just before the R56 was released and consequently lost an extra £2k or so instantly... doh! If only I knew more about the MINI when I was buying it....

Must admit the megane does look fun - hope it works out well for you.

thanks
i'm off to see the mini on sunday, should have the engine in and running!

the megane is silly!!
over 80% of the torque is there from 2,000rpm
max bhp is @ 5,500rpm

my mini was circa 215, this megane would kill it :-(
the grip on the corners is asstonishing for a standard factory car. and the traction control works properly on it, instead of cutting all the power then duming it all back on!!
and i'm getting 30mpg driving quite giddy-ish-ly!!
