Mini Cooper S 2002 (r53) - Supercharger "weird" sound

Hey all just an update..
So was driving the other day and as my car went to pieces i thought of this thread. Was a t speed on the road doing near 70mph. At this point i have 234k on the car but baby it 90% of the day. I guess i had a bad alt. which took the supercharger with it. I am use to odd sounds from the bay but the horrid sounds made me fear the top end of the motor was eating its self apart. I ended up eating the cost of a new alt. s/c and battery. Did some research came to find around 100k you need to service the oil in your s/c (wish i would have known that sooner). But, since i had to replace my s/c went with a vs.2 Alta 15% i hear the s/c more seems to made the cat back and headers a little softer to the ears. But, I would recomend if your near 100k on the dial get your s/c oil serviced and save yourself 4k in parts and labor.
