The 2006 is an R53... However, we need a bit more information. Are you asking if you can swap normal halogens for the Xenon lights or is your car an older model with the flat Xenons and you want the projectors? This makes a difference as the wiring is totally different.

You can find the build date of your MINI by entering the last 7 digits of its VIN on RealOEM.

OK, that helps a little. If you have an R53 (2002 - 2006) MCS, you can swap them out but it won't be easy or cheap as you will have to add the wiring harness, auto level and washers.

Be careful with that. You need to check with your local authorities and make sure that if you modify the lights without all the proper equipment (levelers and washers) that you will pass inspection. I know in Germany it would fail under TUV.

I have sort of the same question but in my case my 2002 Mini Cooper S already has the "flat" HIDs with washers and would love to know if it's a simple swap to the 2006 HIDs. Is that as simple as "Plug-n-Play"???

P.S. I did used the Search engine, that's how I found this thread!

Thanks!!!
