United-Kingdom Bonnet scoop - to orange or not to orange?!

Hi all, just wondering what folks on here think about this:
I've got the grey/white roof MCS 2002. Interior wise Ive replaced the gear and handbrake gaitors with black and blue stitching to go with the blue leather seats and carpets. Plus a blue spot ball for the gear knob

I've added orange checks and bought old mirror caps and sprayed them orange - using Hycote Phoenix Orange for Fords.

I've now got a chrome bonnet scoop from good old ebay and wanted to spray this orange to match the mirrors but having looked at them as they are, it looks quite nice so Im now not sure what to do!

Any hints?
Also it's got the regular grill and was looking at the black aero grill to replace it.

I love what you've done. Its so different and orangey! However, in my humble opinion, a step too far in the land of tangerine could become a bit chavvy. I think you should stick with the chrome scoop. Not sure how a black aero grille would fit in with all of this tho.

That made me chuckle that did, cheers for that muse2me! still thinking bout the black aero grills...it's all about the money!

Scottyboy - that does sound cool - black with orange wheels!

I may go with just the chrome so as to avoid entering chavdom...and once I'm bored with that I guess it's gonna be the orange

Thats wierd. I would have went with a darker grey color. Orange sticks out too much. Just be careful to not over-do it.

Orange scoop, black Aero grille with the surround painted orange, and de-chrome the belt line... maybe even opt for black headlight and taillight surrounds, and black rims?

That's what I'd do anyway.

Tuscanidream - I share your fears about goin OTT and I should err on the side of acution...

PrincessR - nope, nowt else is chromified, it does suit it wiv the standard chromey headlight surrounds, all shiny and new

minicore - Im tempted by the black surrounds...where would one get hold of such items?

btw my alloys were refurbed recently and the guy did a respray (£30 per wheel) and not a bad job IMO (Ive gone for gunmetal grey as opposed to the popular black colour)..looks quite cool...I want to tango the calipers now...
will post pics up at somepoint.

Cheers for the pointers folks, as always!

NewMINIStuff.com sell the first gen headlight surrounds, and tail light surrounds for the second gen (not sure about first gen tail light surrounds though).
