Need your Opinion...DS/DS or DS/B

I only have three weeks to decide, my MCS is slated to be built in the 1st week of Dec. I ordered my auto with DS/B as the paint scheme. However, I've seen some pictures of the DS/DS and I'm really drawn to this color scheme - very classy. On the other hand, the DS/B just screams power. I need and welcome all opinions.

'03 MCS - DS/B every option but leather. Lucked out and got the new sport wheel and aluminum pedals. I'm cruising now and loving every minute of it. HK and Rainsensor, definately worth the wait.

I've got a DS/B, and when I took delivery, the dealer also had a DS/DS ready to go. You'd be surprised how bland the same color roof is compared to contrasting color roofs. If I didn't get the black roof, I would have got the white, but I'm happier that I did go with the black. I will tell you that if you go with a DS roof, it will probably be alot rarer than a contrasting.

Cosworth -

When did you p/u your MCS. Are you happy with your option choices and have you seen any other MCS that happen to look like yours?

Big-
Picked her up towards end of August. I opted for the cloth seats, just because I've gotten used to them thru other cars I've owned over the years. It seems not too many S models come thru with the cloth, most are leather. Other than that I went for the Sport and Premium packs, which are everything I need. 17" S rims also. I'm very happy with the color and option selections I made. And also, I think the quality of the paintwork they're putting on the cars is excellent compared to some other new models I see out there.
I think you'll be very happy with your choices!

If you really want a little nostalgic, impressive response to give people when they ask about your contrasting roof, tell them the classic Mini's were painted that way so they were easier to pick out from the other cars during the Rallyes! (the truth!).

I should be picking up my DS/DS later this month, and having only seen pictures, I really like it. I thought about a white roof and a UJ on the roof but decided against it. Black roof just reminds me of Camaro Z28's (only came with black roof for a couple of years).

GMINI03, just stated the reason I didn't order solid Black! I'll let you guess on what color scheme I would recommend

Keep in mind there is a potential warping problem with the black roofs, resulting in spontaneous denting.

Hopefully, this won't be a problem if you have a sunroof.

Thanks for all the responses I really appreciate it and I welcome more.

The "warping black roof" phenomenon is kind of unsettling, however through searches I have found very little evidence of a large scale problem. Also, since I will have the sun-roof not sure if it will affect me.

Keep sending your opinions.

DS/ds or DS/b

i was in the same situation as you as many others in contemplating between the DS/ds or DS/b. my dealer was holding a cxld order for a DS/ds for me and my original order for a DS/b. i was really close to getting the DS/ds but in the end, ended up getting the DS/b. i don't regret it at all. the black roof goes well with window tints and the contrasting color gives the car its uniqueness. as for the black roof warping, i think this a minor problem which only applies to black roofs without the glass moonroof and may not even apply to newer builds. i still thing the DS/ds looks sharp, but to go with a contrasting roof color be it white or black is something that is unique to the MINI. check out my GALLERY if you like.

DS/B, Sunroof, Fog Lights. Finally here! I love this car!
