Somebody at work has a LY/B Cooper S. I'm afraid I don't have any pictures and I can't comment on its popularity. However, personally I'm not a big fan of the MINI's yellow. As I've said before, it looks absolutely fantastic at night under the dealer's lights, but in daylight the yellow looks washed out.

I have a Liquid Yellow/Black Cooper S. At first I wasn't sure about ordering the color but now I love it. Here are some pictures. If you want to see more click on:Ottawa MINI Club

I saw one around Heathrow this morning, Reg RE52 xxx (didnt catch it all) very attractive young lady driving (didnt notice the car too much, actually!!) My impression was a bit pale, not bold enough for the S. 'You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off.' First Generation Cooper S in Electric Blue - SOLD it! Second Generation Cooper S in Pepper White

| liquid yellow My cooper S is solid liquid yellow with the space cloth interior. I actually had a different color on order but took this one to avoid the wait. At first I wondered if I had made the right choice but it definitely grows on you and I love it now and get alot of comments on how good it looks. | I'd have to agree with Al, I wasn't really sure when I ordered my LY/B Cooper S, I hadn't actually seen one but when I saw her sitting in the dealers lot upon her arrival I knew I made a good choice. The yellow is a nice shade, not too loud and not too washed out. With the black top it looks ready for business. Many of my friends have admitted that when I told them I was getting a LY/B MINI they thought yuck, but when they saw the car it totally changed their minds. Mark 2002 MCS LY/B |

I've got a liquid yellow ONE (so no black or white roof - although personally I prefer the yellow/white combination) and everyone who's ever expressed an opinion about it has loved the colour. It made such an impression when I saw the yellow Cooper they had on the Birmingham Motorshow stand in 2000 that I promised myself there and then that if I ever managed to buy a MINI it'd be in yellow. Haven't had a single regret at choosing the colour since!
