evo magazine long term cooper s

just read dec issue of evo and they have just taken delivery of a cooper s as one of there long term test cars.
should be intresting as they have also just taken on a clio cup as well.looking forward to see if they still rate the s as no 1 after six months against the clio.
i think so cos the more time you spend in the s the more you love it!

In a recent test they did involving an S, a Cup and RS Focus it was a close run thing between the S and the Cup. I think they just edged for the Cup because it was cheaper.

I also remember people saying that the lack of ABS (to save weight) was a bit dodgy and I have to agree.

I'll be keeping an eye out for their reports. A think their Cooper Works required a few visits to the dealer

To read about their long term test of the Cooper Works have a look in the "Fast Fleet" menu. You can read every article on the car by choosing the "Archive" and finding the Mini Cooper in the list.

I guess they will add details of their new Cooper S next month.

How stoopid the Clio Cup is blatently not cheaper - I mean how much are both cars gonna be worth in 3 years time - that to me is a measure of how cheap a car is !!!!!

I think they will be upgrading it to the Work S soon , well after January anyway. Should make intersting reading

They critizised the 17inch wheels. Hmm, after all I think I made the right choice avoiding them.
They say "adds a tad more steering weight" and "bumby ride". Exactly what I experienced.
