| 2003 MCs a slug in 2nd at low rpms =supercharger? I autocrossed my dads 2003 Mini Cooper S for the first time this weekend. I have always thought this car was a slug for a MCs. I had a SCCA instructor drive it and he also said that something is not right for the type S. When I am in 2nd gear and low in the rpms, it feels like I am getting a lot of lag before I come into power. The instructor is used to driving the MC, and he suggested maybe the belt may be slipping or that a valve may be stuck open. Could he be right, if so are they hard to check/replace? The car has approx 80k miles on it. I am new to this car, and superchargers in general, so any help would be appreciated. |
