Just pulling out the carpets for a good clean and maybe replacement and I noticed two wires attached to the front of the seat frame , one yellow and one blue, why are they there? I have seat heater fuses in place. Its a 2003 black JCW.
Yellow wires are for the front seat side airbags and blue wires are for the seatbelt buckle pre-tensioners which are fired in an accident by the SRS system. If you disconnect them and switch on the ignition a fault will be registered and the airbag warning light will come on and need to be reset by a Dealer or using a special airbag reset tool.
Sorry but can't remember what colour the optional seat heater wires are.
