Supercharger tensioner issue??!??!?

Hi all iv been suffering a little rattle now for 2 days only when i am under throttle sounds like a fast tapping and is only ever when the car is under load so i checked tonight and found only half a hole on my tensioner now i was wondering does this mean i need a new belt or both belt and tensioner and also does it sound like this could be my problem??

Are you sure its not detonating, what mileage has it done? what fuel are you running?

We had a Cooper S in a couple of weeks ago which was detonating like that.

1/2 a hole showing is not ideal but its okay, if it was the tensioner it should be making a noise all the time rather than under load.

Im not sure (detonating) ????? And its done 62,000 and i only use shell optimax fuel

It is a faint knocking noise carnt really hear it on tick over its just when driving under load and you have to have radio off to hear it

Ok so think i found out what my noise is when i was changing my supercharger belt i spun the supercharger pulley and every 3 turns you can hear a click which sounds very much like my noise so guess there is a supercharger issue so think i best save some money for a sprintex maybe!?
