Anyone with Cloth interior?

No one seems to have anything nice to say about the cloth option for the MCS and, I must admit, from the pictures I've seen I wasn't too impressed either. However, last week I was at a dealers and saw one (can't recall now whether it was an EB/W or B/W combo) and I must say - IMHO - it looks *much* better in person.

So, for those of you who do have the cloth interior (it's ok to admit it!), are you happy with your decision?

Thanks

Chilly

I have the cloth interior and I have to say I think it looks really good. Most people that see my car like it as well.

Absolutely. The space cloth is fine. It's warm in winter but doesn't get hot like the leatherette in summer. The color helps brighten the otherwise pretty dark interior. And it's unusual...people notice it. Plus, it's $1250 less expensive than leather and some have posted complaints with the quality of the leather. I haven't the "opportunity" to test its stain resistance yet, though.

I hated the space cloth from the pictures. But when I saw it in the flesh I quite liked it. So much so, I'm thinking of getting then on my next car. They look good, feel good and are alot better wearing than the 1/2 leather jobies.

I have the space cloth

The space cloth looks horrible in pictures, but in real life it looks great.

I saw a DS/W with space cloth when I was ordering my car and just loved it. Anyway, I have had my car for 4 months now and love the space cloth.

So in short, the space cloth looks a lot nicer in life than in pictures.

I'm very happy with the cloth interior. I did not see the value in buying the leather for $2200CDN and did not want to freeze in the winter and burn in the summer. The cloth also doesn't have the driver slide around the cockpit as much in spirited driving.

Not to mention it brightens up the interior and adds to my black/silver theme.

LOVE 'EM! Just scotchguard it and you'll be fine for whatever life throws at your seats.

Well I'm a cheapskate and stuck with the std cloth too.....
I had a Mk I Toyota MR2 with full leather....it was cold in Winter......"sticky" in summer (nothing dodgy I hasten to add.....and I slid around the seat during enthusiastic cornering.

It needed TLC to maintain it in good condition (Autoglym Leather Food) and generally I wouldn't have leather again....least of all, not at almost a grand of on-cost.

Roll-on May 19th................

I've been very pleased with the "Space Cloth". It looks great on my car, shows no sign of wear, and does not seem to attract dirt. I have a bit more than 5K on the car now. My posterior also stays nicely anchored to it during spirited motoring.

I had originally wanted full leather but ended up getting a prespec that didn't inclde leather (getting the car 6 months sooner outweighed the luxury of full leather). I find it looks really good - most people comment on it as looking good as well and it seems to wear well. I had mine protected with Duraseal fabric protector because I'm a bit of a messy buggar so that should keep it looking good in the future. My brother has a yellow cooper with full black profile leather which I'm a bit jealous of, so may look at getting the aftermarket Newton leather interior fitted if I can ever afford it. IMO that's better than the factory leather and has a more retro look to it.

Cloth feels great as well...

I ordered Space Cloth in my new MCS that I picked up last week - After 2800 miles of sitting on the cloth seats, I am very happy with the choice. Not only does it look great, but it also feels really good as well!

I had not seen Space Cloth in person, and one of the things I was worried about is that the Space Cloth samples in the store seemed too slippery, and not very soft. But the cloth in person to me feels much softer and has more grip than the samples I remember.

I wouldn't even consider anything but cloth seats in a car, so I was really happy teh only cloth choice on the MCS turned out to be such a good one!

Of course, you should know that Kendall drives around with no pants on...

I ordered the space cloth sight unseen on the advice of my "salesperson." Many weeks later I saw a picture posted of "my" interior. I told my wife "If it looks like the picture, I'm ordering "new" seats or getting them "recovered."
After receiving the car, I agree when you see these seats in person...they look good. Inserts match my DS very well. I'm happy with my choice and saved at least $1250 for other mods
