Need some wiring help

Good afternoon,

I recently purchased a 2003 Mini Cooper S (my first ever Mini). I was going over it and I noticed an un-plugged wire/clip near the DSC unit, which is located in the left corner of the engine bay, near the cowl. I suspect that it is related to the ABS/DSC but I cannot see where it is supposed to plug in. The ABS, Traction Control and Tire Pressure lights are all illuminted on the dash and I am wondering if this is the reason why.

See the attached pic.

Could those of you with 03 Cooper S's with the DSC system take a look and post a pic for me?

Thanks...

I apologize, this plug is at the back left if you are standing at the front of the car looking at the motor.

I may be off track thinking that it is DSC related, so if you have an 03 and could post a pic, it would be a huge help.

Thanks...

So far 200 people have looked at this thread. If I can add more info to help you all understand what I am in need of, please let me know. If a more zoomed out photo would help, I can add that too.

Thanks...

Here are 2 more pics. The first is zoomed out a bit and the second is closer in. You can see the unclipped wire clip (white). Not sure where it goes or what it is supposed to plug into.

Any help?

Thanks...

If youve got warning lights illuminated then theres obviously a problem, a quick plug into the diagnostics machine would give the reason, but I suppose you dont want the cost.
If youve just bought it why not ask the people who sold it too you, they must have had a reason to disconnect it or had a problem, maybe thats why they sold it?
Were the lights not on when you had a test drive? if so why did you buy it without asking for that to be corrected?
It seems many people just rush out and buy a MINI and then find theres something obvious not right with it, many times thats why its being sold on, that ought to have been noticed on the pre purchase viewing?
If 200 people have looked at your thread and not replied they obviously dont know either, it wont be because its a secret, they dont know, but might have some similar problem and looking for ideas, it wont be because they just want to ignore you.
I dont have an old Gen 1 MINI so I cant help with pictures here either, sorry

I have plugged the car in, but since the tool doesn't have the ability to investigate all wiring and harnesses, the codes it shows may not be accurate. I wanted to get this plug sorted out to ensure that the codes are accurate. At this point, this wire may not be related to any of the dash lights.

This was not a hasty purchase, I have purchased and fixed up several vehicles, with all types of issues, over the years. This one is no different, but since it is 11 years old it is not in perfect shape.

The price was reduced accordingly.

I was looking to the experts on this board for input to guide me in the correct direction. On another board, I was told that it may be related to the security system, so I am checking into that.

Thanks again for your input and if anyone else can add any valuable info, I would appreciate it...
