What month of 2004?
Is it a Midlands box or a Getrag? (I'm assumming an R50 since you
didn't say Cooper S). They changed from Midlands to Getrag in July 2004.
Midlands takes Texaco MTF-94, and Redline MTL 75W80 is a good substitute.
Getrag boxes are specified for BMW MTF LT-3, and Redline D6 ATF is a good
substitute (yes, even though it's a manual box, this is the right viscosity).
