Am looking for a Cooper S and have seen plenty of 'standard' models but also some with modifications

Being (well) over the age of 30 I got some good prices for insurance from a comparison site, but when adding on some modifications the prices went up by 200

Does anyone know of any MINI Cooper S specialists who will not be too worried by a GTT kit for example?

Thanks for any help

The price will go up, insurance companies dont like mods that make it go faster and look better than the normal, youre much better off leaving it completely standard, either that or fitting something to make it go slower and look rougher.

A 200 increase is hardly anything these days though is it? especially when an 18 year old is quoted 15000 for a standard S

200 may not be much compared to 15,000, but I am looking at 300 v 500 so it is a significant increase - I can think of many things I would rather spend 200 on than giving it to an insurance company!
Just wondering if there are any specialists I can talk to to make buying the GTT updated car worthwhile

Adrian Flux, probably the only modification friendly lot, lots of forms.
