Buy used 2002 now or wait for 2003? - MINI Cooper Forum

I just checked out a 2002 MCS in Electric blue with a white roof, Sports package and panther black leather. It has 3500 miles. I can get the car for $20000 (plus taxes and inspection etc....). Should I buy it or wait for my 2003 Cooper S to come in instead? My Cooper S is a base model with a multifunction wheel and is 22600 with taxes and fees !!!!!!

The other reason for buying it now is i have the time to enjoy it. My jobs makes me travel and i could not be around for months at a time and since i am working from home for the next 3 weeks I will have time to enjoy and take care of all the Paperwork. What do you think??????

I'd say get the 2003 one.

If its only $2600 more, than I don't see why not!

Thanks for your opinion. I do realize the car is about 2000 gran less but it comes with 2000 dollars worth of option I did not get. So that is about 4k right there.

Plus if I get the car now i can drive it around everyday and night!!!! and enjoy it till I have to go to work god knows where!!!!

The Saleswoman let me take it on a extended test drive (Thanks Catherine

) so I got to take it on some cool roads Near Kings park and Saint James. Dam Second gear is a blast. It felt faster than other Cooper S's (one with 16's the other with 17's) i have driven (I have even gained wieght since then)... I will post pics tomorrow or thursday
