Firstly apologies if this is a really dumb question but i am stuck trying to replace a bulb!!!

My rear brake light has gone so as you do i went to replace it, but i cannot for the life of me get the bulb holder off the back of the light unit. Ive got the light unit off the car so i have full access to the clips etc but the thing is stuck around the the reverse light fitting. Its says in the manual just to squeeze the middle clips but the holder will not draw away from the reverse light. I cannot see how its going to come apart and i dont want to put in too much force and brake it.

Please can someone show me the light (excuse the pun) and explain where im going wrong?!!

Thanks!

Tony

You might not be, some bulb holder circuit boards melt and grip the twist out bulb holders, and leave melted plastic on the contacts
