damn, very very nice ride. love the red/red. since u have the aero kit, and if u plan to upgrade wheels, id go with something somewhat agressive, because of the kit.

better

Please Wake up!!!!
The best looking cars are the standardly proposed ones.
The best looking red minis for me have white roff/mirrors. And PLEEEEASE keep those fantasticly matched wheels and just recognize the beauty the simplest things in such a nice car as the cooper s.
Please don't be offended, but there is a very important rule in design named KISS - Just Keep It Simple, Stupid. It means, among other interpretations, that if you don't know what your doing, just keep it simple and don't mess up.

This doesn't mean that i don't respect your tastes, it just mean that i believe in lack of taste as much as in good taste.

Sorry for my English, but i'm portuguese.

Best regards,

Mini Cooper S DS/W everything but NAV, Roof, and Leather.

Keep the wheels! They look GREAT, and appropriate for the car; they don't look like you got "feature wheels" and tacked them on.

Get the windows tinted instead.

Pretty Impressive looking MCS. Which carrier did you use and how much are they charging to get it to the west coast ?? I am considering a car in N.Y. and live on the central coast of California.
Thanks...

Car carrier

cayucosteve, The Mini dealer in Pittsburgh, PA arranged the car carrier based on their past experience with them. They won't deliver my car for about a week so I can't recommend their service yet. The truck driver called today to let me know where he was and that he would be here next Wednesday morning. That was nice of him. So far so good. The name of the firm is De Moise Trucking. Call Bill at (864) 609-9390. They charged me $1300 for a covered carrier and full insurance. Uncovered was going to be about $825 without insuance (extra $150) cash or cashiers check. I'll post again in a week (if my family can pry me out of my new S) and let you know how it went.

I agree with Wynn. The car looks SWEET! Just tint the windows and drive it........

Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable!

Re: better

I agree, I like MINIs when they aren't kitted up. Even DS MINI's are ahead in terms of taste compared to kitted ones.

England Keep it simple!

It's each to their own. We like the red/red, but wouldn't put a sunroof in it, and your black grille certainly makes it look very different. The only mod we have done from standard is body coloured mirrors as we felt they looked better with our colour scheme.

We have the standard 16" X-lite wheels because the factory ran out of the 17" S-spokes which were due to be fitted as part of the Chili pack available in the UK when they built the car last August, but in all honesty we weren't too upset as we weren't that fussed on them.

We thought about going for R90s, but stayed with standard. There were a few dozen Cooper Ss on MINI2's Chiltern Run last Sunday, but ours was the only one I saw with the standard wheels!

Velvet Cooper

Its all to there own in my opinion but if you do change the wheels go with r90's and always try and use mini bits personally i love my car i want a set of skirts to finish the look since the picture i have added stripes and i also want the jcw kit but try not to ruin a thing of beauty.

I agree about not taking the look too far from stock. I'm just not that fond of the S-spokes. If my car had come with the R90s I probably wouldn't be looking to change them.
RedMini, did you get the red mirrors from Mini? We don't have that option here. To me the black mirrors on mine look aftermarket because of the solid color on the car. What are Chili & Pepperoni options? We don't have those package names here either.

I've heard the ride and handling is better on the standard 16"'s?
