Electronic PS limiter - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi,

Has anybody ever heard of there being an electronic horsepower limiter on the MCS for the first 2000km limiting it to only 110PS ????

Apparently all BMW 'M' cars and the MCS have it.

I certainly haven't....

i'd love to find out the truth on this too, somebody out there must know !!!... or is it a early April fools !!...

The info came from one of the two mechanics at a garage in Switzerland...

Well, in that case my 'S' should have been slower when new than my previous car, a Cooper.... which it wasn't. Warp factor 9 was available from day one...
