United-Kingdom Fuel Economy

Hi, Has anyone noticed a large drop in fuel economy on their mcs since fitting an indution kit?

I reset my computer everytime I fuel up, and used to get with reasonably sensible driving 30-35mpg.

I recently fitted the pipercross induction kit and now with the same driving im getting 25-29mpg.

I would have thought with the engine breathing easier the economy should go up, any ideas? What sort of economy is everyone else getting?

Cheers

James

i would guess that more air means more gas. i only got above 30+ mpg during the break in period. at my first track event i got 8.6 mpg now that was a good time.

I have the same induction kit, and noticed a drop to circa 27mpg, however there was no change when I had the 200 bhp conversion !!!and I still return 27mpg plus .........
