Looking for other NJ MCS owners (or future owners)

well whenI fist called and asked (about 2 weeks ago) they said it would be late August before I would see a custom ordered car. What people told me is, the dealers exaggerate that a bit to weed out those who are not "serious buyers". Not a practice I condone, but then again, I'm a serious buyer. SO I went in for a test drive and a more serious talk which is when I got the better info. It all made sense to me. Of course there could be delays, but I 'm not thinking of that. we'll see when I get my prod #.

I can't speak for S's but I bought my Cooper in Morristown. It was a great sales experience--no pressure, got my production number right away, no problems. I've since had it serviced at a dealership closer to home and had lots of problems. Kerry in Morristown was very helpful in trying to get things resolved. Good luck!

I guess you can tell I'm from south Jersey. I live in Blackwood. I also bought my PS/Blk MCS at Princeton. Delivery was July, 'o2. The sales rep was Giovanni Tosti. He was very good and made the whole transaction enjoyable. I paid sticker price, got what I wanted and picked it up in four days! Service dept was also very good. Glad to see there's so many of us Jersey kids out there. I know all you Mini drivers and you soon to be Mini drivers will enjoy motoring as much as I do.

I also ordered my car through Giovanni at Princeton, and everything has been smooth so far. I gave my deposit on March 13th, but since it was after 3pm, the order went in the next day (Friday), and I had my production # on Monday. My car was done a week and a half later, and is now on its cruise across the Atlantic. They told me 8 weeks, but at the rate it's going, I doubt it will be more than 5, 6 tops. I'm not sure about S's though.

I had a guy at Keeler Mini tell me I can place a deposit and have a Prod # in a few days and have my car by mid June. I think I may try to switch : )

Mini Joe.....As I said earlier, I also have Giovanni as my salesman. I ordered my MCS on January 20th, expect a VIN # in a couple of weeks, and a delivery in June!!! The wait has been long, but I'm sure well worth it. Can't wait to trade my Mazda Tribute SUV and Motor On!

I'm seeing a MUCH longer wait on the MCS as opposed to the Cooper.

Well.......I placed my order January 20th, and to date have NOT received my production #. I was told that it would be in a couple of weeks....and then June delivery date.

I placed my order 3/29. hmm. interesting. I was told I'd have P# within 4 weeks.

I got my MCS last month from Princeton MINI. I ordered it in October 2002, so it took five months, although it was promised in six. I think the Coopers come in quicker than the Cooper S's. They treated me really well, even threw in mats at the end! Sold it to me at list price.
