MCS Interior Choices???

Is it possible in the states to order a MCS with the Tartan Red interior? I want something different and love the red door panels. I was thinking PS/PS/TR or JB/JB/TR. Opinions?

I've always thought a MCS PS/PS/TR would be fabulous. My next MCS, I guess...don't tell my wife.

To do it, one option is to find someone ordering a MC, have them get TR, you order the MCS interior they want, and trade.

Or...just order the TR parts from the parts department.

Or...just order the skins for the door and rear panel, and have a custom shop make up new upholstry for the seats

Or...get the custom seats done, remove the plastic skins, and have them painted with vinyl paint

Or...call the junkyards, place an order and wait for an unfortunate accident for a TR MC out there, somewhere

Or...convince Mini to build one for you!

I was really dissapointed to find that the MCS can not be ordered in the US with the tartan red interior.
I ordered a dark silver with white roof and believe that the tartan read would be spectacular. My girfriend order a pure silver MINI and opted for the tartan red. I know that I will envy her interior. I do know that tartan red seat covers are available. I am not certain as to how form fitting they are. That could be an option (but of course you would still have the same door panels).
I did see a pepper white Mini with the red interior and it was awesome!

TomF, you forgot one other option.

Put out word on the carjacker's network, and have them boost a TR interior for you.

That's a great idea. She has ordered the heated seats so that will be an extra bonus. I wonder how long it will take her to notice that I have made the switch?
