The only way that I found to be able to REALLY be sure about how a particular color combination looks is to LOOK at an actual car with the same color(s). Not to try to change anyone's mind (the topic is too "political"!), but I had originally decided on an Indi Blue (with white top & wheels). Looked GORGEOUS in all of the brochures. Then, one day I walked into the local dealer, and they had a Chili-Red
MCS, with the Red top & black mirrors; with silver 17" wheels. I still think the IB is a lovely combination, but when I saw the all-red
MCS "in the flesh", I changed my mind immediately. I just liked the way it "looked"! Also changed my interior from lapis blue leather, to the black/silver Space Cloth combination.
Now, I don't expect to change anyone's choice of colors as a result of this rambling. However, I think it illustrates the importance of seeing how the color/materials/options look under natural light, "in the flesh"; in a "three dimensional" setting... as opposed to relying on pictures.
So, my recommendation would be to go to several of the local dealers, and see how the different color combinations "make you feel" when you view them in bright light; shadows; etc. It sure made a big difference to me!
By the way, my order will ALSO be finalized at the end of this month. I dropped by to look over several cars at the dealer this past Tuesday. They happened to have on hand a car spec'd similarly (color, options) to the one I'm about to order. And (luckily!), it still "looks great"!!
Good luck on YOUR new MINI Cooper S!
