I put a deposit (1k) down back in NOVEMBER! at a NJ dealer. And now I hear about this possible suspension change and all....I've pretty much just had it with this waiting. Is this an abnormally long waiting period? I was hearing people who *seem* to have ordered after me and gotten theirs already.

I ordered on the 26th of Jan, car will arrive Hong Kong on the 12th of June, and i will pick up in the week of the 23rd of June. Exactly 5 months.

My car hasn't even been ORDERED yet. I'm just on the dealership list! I still have to wait for production time. *sigh*

Something's not right. I ordered mine in late December, got a production number about 2 months ago, and the car is currently in-transit due in a few weeks.

I ordered it from Princeton MINI.

I'd complain/scream/find out what's going on.

You're in NJ... why not just drive to NY and buy one now... or order one now from MINI of the Hamptons... they have zero wait time ever since they opened...

Where did you order from? I ordered from Princeton MINI, January 20th........Have scheduled production date of June 13th and probably will receive the car August 1st. I wish I had gone to Hampton MINI..this waiting is cr@p! I ordered a Porsche 930 Turbo and it only took 2 1/2 months!!! I guess that's BMW keeping up the demand.

Wow that's strange, I ordered from Princeton last week and they are telling me my Cooper S should be here late August early Sept...how long of a wait did they tell you when you ordered your car?

I ordered Jan 25...est buid date June 13...delivery??? But from what I have seen it won't be until late July or possibly early August.

I do have a lease but it is up in late June so I have to extend . If I had know I would have gone to the Hampton dealership

Mike....I was told that I could expect delivery mid to late June. Don't think this will happen as my bulid date is June 13th! Just wish the dealership had been a little more up front with me regarding the "wait" process...

I ordered from Princeton also. We were promised the car would arrive May - June at the latest. I had a great ordering experience with Princeton, but just no car. I've cancelled it. Like I said, the order still wasn't even put into the factory. It's a shame.

As noted by UCSD, you can get a MC, or MCS right now from MINI of the Hamptons. That's where I purchased mine, and I live in Columbus, Ohio. My only complaint is that they are a bit slow in communicating. But they sell at list, and have a good selection.

Long wait times are a function of dealer allocation availability. The local dealers were 6+ months out when I placed my order. Changing dealers short cut the process by 4 months.

You guys are making me nervous! I ordered mine last week and was promised the car between august and sept. Did they at least give you your deposit back? The only reason I ordreed from them and not from one of the long island dealers was so I'd have more time to sell my car...hope this doesn't bite me in the butt though
