United-Kingdom Needing Cooper S

After months of window shopping, I'm ready to order my Cooper S

Spec I've finally decided on is:
Dark Silver/Black
Alloy Patrina interior trim
Chili Pack: Air con, xenons, 17" etc
Blue/Black half leather

Really can't decide on:
Sunroof...yes or no??
ICE....standard single CD?

Any input would be gratefully received.

I've been told I can expect a Sept 1 delivery...seems a lifetime away. I am craving this car!

Thanks guys.

Hi Tinkerbell,

Very similar to what I got. Sunroof yes (Summer days with all sunroof open and windows down just great!).
I also got the standard single CD... but I might change it soon...
I waited 7 months for my baby... we'll keep you sane!

I have the sunroof on mine, rattled like crazy at first - gone now though and all is sweet! Great source of light for the car - makes it feel nice 'n' airy inside!

Don't regret havin' the S/R one bit > go for it!
You can always point the air-con towards your feet!
(After all, they are doing all the work)

I didn't go for the multi-functional S/W - kinda wish I had now though - very expensive as a retro-fit, make sure you do your homework!!

Have fun in choosing your spec & all the best!

Don't get the sunroof......they're a waste of money. £500 could be so much better spent.

Go for the sunroof, I have driven with and without the difference is noticeable and a lot more enjoyable. I have the Cassette and Changer option but will be changing so do not go for that. Good Luck

Ditch the CD. Take standard offering (which is CR*P) and retro fit a decent one later.

And get 16' wheels unless you just want it for looks.

Personally i hate sunroofs so went for the full on climate control which is only a £230 option if you've got the Chilli pack. Also im happy with the H/K kit i've got in mine, does everything i ask of it for a daily car

Multi Function Steering Wheel is well handy too

I had a sunroof in my last car and never used it apart from when I first got the car. The wind noise/buffeting made it a waste of time for me and I gave up with it quickly. Maybe the MINI one is better but £500 is a lot of dosh if you aon't gonna use it.

I am very happy with the single CD player.

Enjoy your car whatever you decide.

Are they imports?

If they are shouldn't they be cheaper than UK cars?

Yes they come with a full UK Warranty.

They were pre-registered in March so the warranty will start then.

They are on 03 plates.
